The full September to December semester will give the beginner a solid foundation in the understanding of the making of a landscape painting as abstract realism in the tradition of Andrew Wyeth, John Singer Sargent, the Impressionists, and the Hudson River School. All aspects of composition, hue, value and intensity, and color theory are covered.
The class begins at noon, but students can arrive by 11 a.m. with a bag lunch and get settled in.
