2026 Saint Joseph Appeal

Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Friend,

As we celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph, we are reminded of his humble obedience to God’s plan. As Joseph accepted his duty to serve Jesus Christ, our Seminary is tasked with forming young men who will serve Jesus Christ as priests to the Catholic Church.

Last year, through your generous support we successfully raised funds for the purchase of a new floor in the gymnasium built in 1951 and damaged by the 2016 flood. The high-quality cushioned flooring was installed in late spring and promises to enhance the seminarian’s health and wellness activities into the future.

I am writing to invite you to partner with us in the next phase of gymnasium upgrades. Places like the gymnasium, where physical activity promotes health, cultivates clarity, strengthens bonds of brotherhood, and teaches teamwork, are essential to discernment. This environment at St. Joseph Seminary College continues to contribute to the integral human formation the Church calls for in priestly life. These upgrades are critical to our mission and are worthy of your support.

Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, $44,229 has already been raised, a clear testament to the importance of this project and the confidence our alumni place in our ministry of priestly formation. With your investment, we can meet our goal of $65,000 and continue transforming this cherished place.

Will you help fund the second phase of our gymnasium renovation? This phase will focus on purchasing updated equipment for the gymnasium and for wellness activities. As part of this project, we will ask the Student Government Association to form a student ad hoc committee to provide input on what equipment to purchase to meet their needs.

I invite you to be part of this effort – your prayers and financial support are a true gift to our Seminarians. As always, we are grateful for your steadfast commitment to St. Joseph Seminary College.

In Christ’s Peace,

Abbot Gregory Boquet and Fr. Matthew Clark
