OBLATES OF SAINT JOSEPH ABBEY

Become a Saint Joseph Abbey Oblate

The Abbey's Oblate program allows the community to experience the richness of the Benedictine tradition through prayer, liturgical celebration, instruction and fellowship.

Oblates begin their initiation into the Oblate program by becoming Oblate Novices, usually on one of the two annual Days of Recollection. After a year as Oblate Novices, they are eligible to make their formal Oblation - again, usually on one of the annual Days of Recollection.

All Oblates of Saint Joseph Abbey are invited to the Days of Recollection, held in July, on the Saturday after the Solemnity of Saint Benedict (July 11), and in December, on the second Saturday before Christmas.
